AQMD Replace Your Ride Program Vehicle Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, both your current vehicle and your next vehicle need to meet specific AQMD Replace Your Ride program criteria:
Requirements for Retired Vehicles
- A model year 2010 or older
- You must have owned the vehicle for at least 24 months before applying
Requirements for Replacement Vehicles
- A model year 2018 or newer
- Less than 100,000 miles on the odometer and fewer miles than the vehicle being retired
- Only plug-in hybrid, hydrogen fuel cell, and battery electric vehicles are eligible
- Total vehicle cost cannot exceed $65,000 (subtotal before payments, credits, promotions, rebates, and incentives)
