How to Reset Oil Life on a Honda Civic

Is your Honda Civic Engine Oil Indicator showing a low reading even after having the oil changed? It’s easy to reset oil life on a Honda Civic, just follow these steps:

  1. Turn on the ignition, but don’t start the engine.
  2. Using the left-hand-side controls on the steering wheel, press Menu and look at the menu screen.
  3. Use (+) to choose Vehicle Information, then hit the SOURCE button.
  4. Press SOURCE once more to visit the Maintenance screen. You’ll see the engine oil life on the i-MID (intelligent Multi-Information Display).
  5. Use the (-) to choose Yes, then press SOURCE.
  6. Turn off the ignition, then start the engine to make sure the reset worked.

What Factors Impact Oil Life in My Civic?
